Chris Anderson, formerly of The Outlaws played a blistering set at Traders in Lakeland Florida on 13 Feb 1999. This was an awesome show with great guitar playing, great singing and over three hours of music for the miserly cost of just $5.00 cover. It was a bargain by any standard of measure. Chris's musical style is agressive blues somewhere between Texas Blues and Robbin Ford with interesting chord structures. There are some real bargains out there in live music. Check your local clubs. That's where you see the real great shows and the price is almost always reasonable.

A special guest guitar player (playing his "first official" gig) was 14 year old Ivan Martin, who sat in for about half of each set. Ivan, a self taught player, who has only been playing for 4-1/2 years kept up with Chris and shows real promise for the future. If he is this good at 14, imagine what he will sound like when he gets to be 18 or so. These kids keep getting better and better.

Chris Anderson is spending about three weeks a month in Nashville, working on a new recording deal. He has one killer CD out called "Old Friend". Murf HIGHLY recommends that you pick up this CD as it is one of my favorites from my collection.
