Gravy is three very talented guys from Alabama who can really put out some mean blues. Mixing Texas Style Blues with some rock influences along with bits and pieces of musical styles picked up along the way. These guys are NOT the next Stevie Ray Vaughan!!!! (That is such an overused phrase and I am sick of hearing it!!!) They have their own style and their debut CD "From the Hip" is filled with blues songs with plenty of punch and cool blues music. These guys put on a great show and will give your moneys worth. (Both LIVE and on their CD!!!) Order their CD Here!!! Its worth the money...buy it...I did, my friends did!!!!you should too......If they are in your area..go see them..its worth the money...(actually you get more than your moneys worth!!!) Gravy was formed in 1992 and has since played hundreds of gigs, sharing the stage with some of the greats like Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, the Allman Brothers Band, Delbert McClinton, Robert Cray, Widespread Panic and Chris Duarte, to name but a few. SAD NEWS - Gravy has announced that they are disbanding. However Rob Thorworth has retained the name and rights to the band name and is going to pursue another project. I wish him well and will be looking forward to his next project!!!!!! |

The fella's such a wonder to watch that he could easily go it solo. Lucky for us, he's found a happy home in Gravy. |

![]() The Kid (Chris Fryar), percussion and vocals: Having just joined Gravy in early 1996, The Kid is the wild card here, a jazz-trained drummer who's since turned his talents to the blues. The Kid is a master of sleight-of-hand -- if you don't believe it, just ask him for a coin trick. Or better yet, watch him pound the skins. The Kid works magic, plain and simple. ![]() Paw-Paw (Jay Johnson), bass: Paw-Paw's been in more bands than you can shake a stick at, most of which you've never heard of, but all of which helped pave the way to Gravy. Paw-Paw brings a solid rock and funk grounding to Gravy's rhythm section. They say the boy was born with a bass in his hand. We don't doubt it one bit.
