Gary Hoey put on a first rate guitar clinic at Mars Music here in Orlando Florida. Playing for about an hour and a half, he played some great licks, great songs, gave some really good guitar playing advice [including Practice with a metronome which I have heard from several excellent guitar players and the Six Minute Trill Drill which I added to the lesson page ] and generally a great clinic, much better than some I have seen recently. He played and talked with the crowd for over 90 minutes and played with backing DAT tapes, showing off the Fender Big Apple guitar that is his main new axe. Gary is one really nice and personable player who always is upbeat and positive without any "rock hero" personna. He is working on a new CD at this time which is expected to be released in early 1999. Hope you like the photos. Scroll down for more photos.
