Jonathan Kreisberg TrioThe Jonathan Kresiberg Trio, all graduates of the University of Miami Music School, are all monster musicians who have impressed everyone who has had the privilege of seeing them perform. I first saw them open for the Steve Morse Band in Orlando, Florida and they impressed the crowd who was mainly there to see Steve Morse. If the applause and cheering (during and at the end of the set) was any indication of how they faired as the opening act, they have a long and impressive career ahead of them.[Live Photos here!!] The Trio mainly leans towards the jazz/fusion side with bits of rock, and standards thrown in along with humorous bits where Clint Eastwood'esk themes are mixed into the music. Kreisberg is a monster on the guitar. Javier Carrion is the perfect match on the bass guitar and Vincent Verderame ties it all together with his drums and electronic percussion using a DrumKAT and controlling synth fills using a mouthpiece. All three are awesome musicians. They have released their first self titled CD and I can honestly say that it really captures the sound and feeling of the band. Its only $10.00 (a BARGAIN!!!) and can be purchased ($10 + $1.50 shipping) from: Jonathan Kreisberg was playing Eddie Van Halens Eruption by the age of 15 and has been playing in nightclubs since he was 15. He previously, along with his bandmates from the Jonathan Kreisberg Trio, a singer and keyboard player, released an excellent CD by a group called Wyscan. Somewhere between 'Yes', 'Dixie Dregs' and 'King Crimson' you will find the sound of Wyscan. You will also find that they have a unique sound. Wyscan's first (and only) CD was released in 1995 and is excellent. (I bought a copy...Its 'Murf' recommended). If these guys are in your
area...You owe it to yourself to CHECK THEM OUT!!!!!!! |
