What Press Releases REALLY Mean!

Here is a quick look at loaded words culled from actual press releases (and what they ACTUALLY mean!) People who write press releases (and reviews...I've done my share of reviews also) sometimes have to be creative with their writing. It's not that the writer is trying to put something over on the reader but generally because there is someone out there that will like any band....no matter how bad!

Long-awaited: The band hasn't had an album out in six years; do you remember them at all?

A triumphant return to form: The last album tanked, but this one is different.

Middle-Eastern influences: Band used a sitar on one song.

Newest Pop Sensation: You've never heard of this act.

The most exciting and ambitions project to date: You've never heard of this one either.

Stellar Production: The band might not be able to reproduce these songs outside the studio!

A career so prolific and diverse that a 400-page biography would scarcely do it justice: Please, please, take the time to at least read ONE page.
